These Biscuits are the Key to your Dog’s Heart

Every time I open up a jar of these Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits, my dogs go CRAZY! I make them sit and wait patiently for them and they literally drool just from the smell. I like to know what ingredients are in my dog’s treats and this recipe gives me peace of mind. There are only 6 simple ingredients in these homemade dog treats and they’re super easy to make for your furry friend.

My dogs, Moon and Artemis, have a very active lifestyle and I like to give them each 1 of these treats a day at lunch time for a mid-day protein packed snack. They anticipate these treats the minute we return home from a walk and I like to think it’s the highlight of their day.

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

The process for making these Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits could not be simpler. I love making these as a gift for friends during the holidays because they are so EASY to prepare and look adorable in a mason jar tied with a ribbon.

  1. Combine the mashed banana, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, cinnamon and oatmeal.
  2. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface then add the remaining flour to the top and use your hands to flatten the dough. Cut the dough using a 1-inch biscuit cutter (or dog bone cookie cutter) and place on a non-stick baking sheet.
  3. Bake until golden brown and slightly firm.
